Rose Court: A Beauty and the Beast Garden Guests Only See

If your room at Fantasy Springs Hotel doesn't happen to face the park, it's easy to assume you're missing out on the view. But that would be selling the hotel short — because Fantasy Chateau has a private courtyard reserved just for guests, called Rose Court.

True to its name, roses line the garden, and at the far end sits a magical spring where characters from Disney's Beauty and the Beast emerge from carved rockwork. It's a scene that exists nowhere inside the park itself — reserved entirely for hotel guests.

We stayed in a Bay Area Side room this time, so unfortunately the garden wasn't visible from our window (see our Bay Area Side room report). Still, we made time after check-in to walk through it ourselves, and this guide walks through exactly what we found.

What Is Rose Court? A Courtyard Themed Around Beauty and the Beast

Rose Court sits within Fantasy Chateau, one of the hotel's two buildings. It's not accessible from the luxury-tier Grand Chateau — only guests staying at the deluxe-tier Fantasy Chateau can visit.

How to Get There & Views from the Rooms

To reach Rose Court, head out from the 3rd floor, where Fantasy Chateau's reception is located. Following the hotel's interior decor naturally leads you toward the garden's entrance. Even on a rainy day, you can still get a sense of Rose Court's atmosphere through the lobby windows.

If you'd like to see the garden from your room, you'll need to book a "Rose Court Side" room type. Since rooms wrap around the courtyard in a U-shape, the exact view varies depending on which room you're assigned — some face the magic spring directly, while others look out over the back of the garden. We stayed in the Bay Area Side Superior Alcove Room instead, so we weren't able to see Rose Court from our room. Full details on that room are in our Bay Area Side room report.

Walking the S-Curved Rose Path

Stepping into Rose Court, the first thing that greets you is a gently curving path. Rather than running straight through, it winds in an S-shape, so the garden reveals itself from a different angle at every turn.

The roses along the path vary in bloom depending on the season. When we visited, they weren't at full bloom, but the reds and pinks still stood out clearly against the greenery.

Since we visited in autumn, the roses were joined by turning leaves, giving the garden a real sense of the season alongside its usual charm.

A Wider View from a Slightly Elevated Spot

Continuing along the path, there's a slightly elevated spot where you can take in the whole garden at once. From here, the greenery of Rose Court fills the foreground, with Fantasy Chateau's towers rising behind it.

In one corner of the garden, there's also a small gazebo-like structure that looks perfect for a short rest. We couldn't confirm its exact purpose, but it's charming enough to make you want to stop by mid-walk.

The Magic Spring: Beauty and the Beast Carved in Stone

The true highlight of Rose Court is the "magic spring" waiting at the end of the path. It ties directly into Fantasy Springs Hotel's overarching story — a magical spring watched over by spirits — with Belle and the Beast sculpted so they appear to emerge straight from the rock.

This Beauty and the Beast rockwork exists nowhere else — it's a perk reserved entirely for Fantasy Springs Hotel guests. It's lit up after dark and takes on a completely different, more magical character than during the day, so it's worth visiting during your stay at both times if you can.

The rockwork isn't the only highlight — the hotel building itself, seen through the garden, is worth stopping for too. From the intricately decorated clock tower to the building framed through archways, we found ourselves reaching for the camera again and again while walking through.

Deeper into the garden, there were moments where the towers of the Fantasy Springs area appeared through gaps in the trees. It's a different perspective on the new area than walking through the park itself — a glimpse from just a little further away.
