If you're planning to drive to Hotel MiraCosta, a little prep goes a long way. Questions like "What time can I enter?" and "How much does it cost for non-guests?" come up more than you'd expect — and the answers aren't always easy to find before your trip.
When I visited by car, once I knew the layout and the check-in procedure, everything went smoothly. Being able to load and unload at the entrance, then park and walk straight to the lobby — it genuinely made the whole arrival feel effortless, especially when traveling with kids and a mountain of luggage.
This guide covers everything: how to get there, the two types of parking, current rates, and the one simple step that saves you from paying full price at checkout.
- Hotel guests can enter from 0:00 on check-in day through 24:00 on check-out day
- Two lot types: indoor multi-level garage and outdoor covered lot
- The outdoor lot has a roof — you stay dry even in the rain
- Present your parking ticket at the front desk on check-in — this is how the discount gets applied

How to Get to Hotel MiraCosta Parking
Before you head out, plug one of the following into your GPS or car nav system. Using the phone number is usually the fastest option on Japanese car nav units.
| Phone | 047-305-2222 |
| Hotel name | Hotel MiraCosta (ホテルミラコスタ) |
| Address | 1-13 Maihama, Urayasu, Chiba 279-8519 |
Route from the Metropolitan Expressway
For Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea's main parking lots, visitors typically loop counterclockwise around the resort. But Hotel MiraCosta has its own dedicated entrance: head straight in from the Undokoenmae (運動公園前) intersection after exiting the expressway. It's a more direct route than circling the whole resort.

▲ Via the official Tokyo Disney Resort site. Enter directly from the Undokoenmae intersection.
On my first visit I wasn't confident about the route, so I actually took the longer counterclockwise loop past the DisneySea parking lots — it let me get a feel for the whole area before pulling in. If it's your first time and you want to ease in, that works just fine too.
Two Types of Parking: Indoor or Outdoor?
Hotel MiraCosta has two distinct parking areas. Knowing the difference before you arrive helps you choose the right one — or at least know what to expect when you pull in.

▲ Via Google Earth. ① Dedicated entrance ② Outdoor flat lot ③ Indoor multi-level garage
Outdoor Flat Lot
The outdoor lot wraps around the hotel building. It looks open-air, but there's a roof overhead — so rain isn't an issue. The flat layout makes it easy to load and unload bags, strollers, and all the gear that comes with a Disney trip.

Indoor Multi-Level Garage
Built into the hotel itself, this garage has a Pinocchio theme running through it — each floor is assigned a different character from the film. It's a small detail, but it makes finding your car on the way out a lot more fun (and memorable) than a plain numbered floor.
- Floor 1: Pinocchio
- Floor 2: Jiminy Cricket
- Floor 3: Geppetto
- Floor 4: Figaro
Remember which character matches your floor and you'll have no trouble finding the car at the end of a long day.
■ Note: Vehicles over 2.5m (approx. 8.2 ft) in height cannot enter the indoor garage
Parking Rates and Hours
Hotel Guest Rates
If you're staying at MiraCosta, you can use the parking lot from midnight (0:00) on your check-in date through midnight (24:00) on your check-out date. You can come and go as many times as you like during that window — which is genuinely handy when you want to pop back to the car mid-stay.
| Type | Rate |
|---|---|
| First night | ¥3,000 |
| Each additional night | ¥1,000 / night |
| Hours of access | 0:00 on check-in day – 24:00 on check-out day |
※ Per vehicle (standard passenger car). Payment processed at the 2F front desk.
This is the step most people miss: when you check in, hand your parking ticket to the front desk. Skip this and the guest discount won't be applied — you'll pay the standard hourly rate instead. Takes ten seconds, saves you real money.
Non-Guest (Day Use) Rates
You don't have to be a hotel guest to use the parking lot. If you're dining at one of MiraCosta's restaurants or attending an event, the lot is open to you — but the base rate adds up fast if you're not careful. Always ask about the parking discount at the venue you're visiting.
| Type | Rate / Condition |
|---|---|
| First hour | ¥800 |
| Every 30 min after | +¥400 |
| Restaurant visit | 3 hours free with ¥3,000+ spend per venue |
| Banquet / wedding | 3–8 hours free (confirm with event organizer) |
※ Present your parking ticket when validating at the restaurant or venue.

Can You Enter Early in the Morning?
Hotel guests can technically enter from midnight (0:00) on their check-in date — so if you drive in at the very start of the day, no extra charge applies. DisneySea and Disneyland's own lots don't run 24 hours, which makes MiraCosta's lot a genuinely useful option if you want to arrive early and get settled before the park opens.
■ Heads up: Arriving on the night before your check-in date counts as a separate day — extra charges apply
Getting from the Parking Lot to the Lobby
Drop Off Bags and Passengers First
If you're traveling with kids or have a lot of luggage, pull up to MiraCosta's 2F main entrance first to unload. It's much easier to drop everyone off before parking than to haul everything from the garage.

Elevator or Stairs to the 2F Entrance
Once you've parked, take the elevator or stairs up to the 2nd floor and head through to the entrance. The hotel opens in front of you almost immediately — there's no long walk through a parking structure.

▲ Through this door, the magic begins
Your Parking Ticket: Don't Lose It
You'll receive a parking ticket at the entry gate. Hand this to the front desk when you check in — that's all it takes to activate the hotel guest discount. From that point, you can come and go freely throughout your stay.

The ticket shows your entry time on the first line. After the front desk processes it, a second record is stamped — once you see "宿泊 (staying)" printed there, the discount is confirmed.

▲ Rules posted inside the parking lot
A few things worth noting: don't leave cash, valuables, or pets in the car. The garage is also a non-smoking area. Vehicles over 2.5m in height must use the outdoor lot. Nothing unusual — just the basics for a smooth stay.
Traveling with a Lot of Gear? A Rental Van Might Be Worth It
Disney trips have a way of generating more luggage than expected — changes of clothes, strollers, souvenirs on the way back. If you're going with another family or a group of friends, renting an 8-seater minivan makes the whole ride far more comfortable than squeezing everyone into a compact.

What Guests Say About MiraCosta Parking
Coming by car was absolutely the right call with young children. Being able to drop the kids and bags at the entrance before parking was a lifesaver. And the Pinocchio-themed indoor garage? My kids were obsessed — they wanted to ride the elevator to every floor.
The flexibility to come and go with the car throughout our stay made everything easier. We went back to grab something we forgot after check-in and it was completely seamless. No re-entry hassle, no extra charge.
Even though it looks like an open-air lot, there's a roof, so the rain wasn't a problem at all. We parked, walked straight to the entrance, and dropped bags in the car between park visits. Honestly really convenient.
Being so close to DisneySea was the best part. We got up early the next morning, walked to the park entrance in minutes, and were first in line for Happy Entry. If you're going to do DisneySea properly, driving and staying here makes total sense.
I completely forgot to hand my parking ticket to the front desk when I checked in — and ended up paying the full hourly rate when I left. Such an easy thing to do, and such an avoidable mistake. Don't be like me.
→ It only takes a moment at check-in: hand your parking ticket to the front desk before you do anything else. If you're unsure, ask a bellcast member when you arrive.
We arrived during a long weekend and the lot was nearly full before check-in time. It worked out, but we were stressed for a bit. On busy holidays, arrive with some buffer time — especially if you're traveling with small children.
→ During Golden Week, summer vacation, and other peak periods, the lot fills up earlier than expected. Build extra time into your arrival plan on crowded days.
