Imagine sitting at a table inside Hotel MiraCosta, watching DisneySea's harbor show unfold just outside the window — without standing in line for a single minute. That's exactly what you get at Oceano, the Mediterranean restaurant on the 2nd floor of MiraCosta.
When showtime approaches, a staff member quietly escorts you to the terrace overlooking Mediterranean Harbor. Your food is still waiting at the table. The music swells, the lights come up, and the show plays out right in front of you — no jostling for position, no park crowd behind you. It's one of those rare "only here" moments that makes staying at MiraCosta feel completely worth it.

What Is Oceano? MiraCosta's Mediterranean Restaurant
"Oceano" means "ocean" in Italian — and the name sets the tone perfectly. The interior is designed around three visions of the sea: shells, pearls, and coral. Walking in feels a little like stepping into a sun-drenched Mediterranean port town, complete with arched ceilings, warm lighting, and a view of the harbor just beyond the glass.

The Buffet Experience: What's on the Menu
The Mediterranean theme runs through every dish on the Oceano buffet. From antipasto and fresh salads to warm mains and seasonal desserts — the spread changes with each new theme, so there's always something new to try even if you've been before.

▲ Seasonal special dessert — the presentation changes with each theme

▲ Pear mousse — lightly sweetened and easy to eat even after a full meal

▲ Disney character-inspired plating adds a fun touch to the buffet spread
One of the best things about the buffet format is the freedom. Start with antipasto, circle back for seconds on whatever caught your eye, and still have room for three different desserts. Nobody's rushing you. The pacing is completely yours — which makes it that much easier to step out to the terrace when the show begins, knowing your table is still there when you return.

The Terrace Show Experience: Watching DisneySea From Your Seat
This is the thing that sets Oceano apart from every other restaurant at the resort. During lunch and dinner, guests are escorted to a terrace overlooking Mediterranean Harbor when a harbor show is scheduled.
There are two terraces, depending on which dining style you booked:
■ Which Terrace Will You Use?
Course Dining Terrace — Faces Mediterranean Harbor directly. You're looking straight at the center of the show. Great for evening shows with the harbor lit up.
Buffet Dining Terrace — Faces the Mickey Plaza side. You can see stage performances from the plaza as well. Walk to the far end of the terrace and Mt. Prometheus comes into full view.

▲ The view from the buffet-side terrace — the plaza stage is visible to the left

▲ Mt. Prometheus and the full harbor spread visible from the far end of the terrace
You don't need a DisneySea park ticket to enjoy the show from here. That's the perk of being a MiraCosta guest — the harbor is right there, and the show comes to you.
■ A Few Things to Know About Terrace Show Viewing
- Breakfast guests are not escorted to the terrace — terrace viewing is for lunch and dinner only
- Harbor shows may be cancelled or modified due to weather
- Depending on your visit date and time, harbor greeting events may also be viewable from the terrace

Visitor Reviews: What Guests Are Saying
We went during a Spain-themed buffet and everything was incredible — the food, the special drinks, the desserts. I surprised my boyfriend with a birthday celebration and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. Couldn't have asked for a better evening.
The dessert spread at Oceano is genuinely stunning — colorful, creative, and all delicious. I've made it a tradition to try a different MiraCosta restaurant each year. Last year was Sherwood Garden; this year was Oceano. Already thinking about what's next.
I knew we'd be able to see the show from the terrace, but I had no idea how close it would feel. My kids completely forgot about eating the moment the music started. Watching a full DisneySea harbor show without fighting for a spot in the crowd — that alone makes the price worth it.
We booked the course menu for our wedding anniversary and were seated in a private room. The food quality was really impressive, and the sommelier's wine pairing suggestions were a lovely touch. Quiet, unhurried, and genuinely romantic.
Getting a reservation is the hardest part. Weekend buffet slots fill up days in advance. If you don't book early, you may be out of luck — especially for evenings with a harbor show.
Tip: Priority Seating (advance registration) is available through the Tokyo Disney Resort official site. Book at the same time as your hotel reservation for the best chance. Breakfast and weekday slots tend to be more available — consider those if evenings are full.
Had breakfast here on our last morning. No terrace show at breakfast, but the window-side seats still look out over the harbor — it's a beautiful way to start a Disney day. Buffet selection was generous even in the morning, and the staff were wonderfully attentive.
