If you're staying at Hotel MiraCosta, there's one perk you absolutely shouldn't sleep on: the exclusive guest lounge on the fifth floor.
Salone dell'Amico (サローネ・デッラミーコ) is a private lounge reserved for Speciale Room & Suite guests only. No queues, no crowds — just a quiet, European-style space overlooking DisneySea's Mediterranean Harbor. When I visited, I walked in, grabbed a coffee, and found a window seat just in time to watch a harbor performance I hadn't even planned on seeing. That's the kind of unexpected magic this lounge delivers.
In this guide, I'll cover which room types get access, where the lounge is located, the full drinks menu, and what the cocktail hour is actually like — from someone who's been there.

Where Is the Lounge? Finding the Entrance
Salone dell'Amico is on the fifth floor of Hotel MiraCosta. Take the hotel elevator to floor five, follow the corridor, and you'll come across it — but here's the catch: there's no sign that says "Lounge" on the door. First-time visitors often walk right past it. I did too. If you're not sure, just ask a staff member at check-in and they'll point you in the right direction.

▲ The lounge as seen from DisneySea (marked in red)

▲ The entrance — no "Lounge" sign, so don't be surprised
Once inside, a staff member will verify your room number and name before seating you. Even during that brief check-in process, you're already at a table with a drink in hand. That's a pretty good start to any Disney hotel stay.

▲ Comfortable seating throughout — no rushing, no queues
Check-In and Check-Out at the Lounge
One of the biggest advantages of the Speciale Room tier is that you skip the main front desk entirely. Check-in is handled right here in the lounge — staff will walk you through the hotel overview, hand over room keys for your whole group, and even stamp your parking ticket if needed.

▲ The whole check-in process happens here, at your own pace
Use the Tokyo Disney Resort App for Even Smoother Check-In
If you complete online check-in through the Tokyo Disney Resort app before arriving, the process at the lounge counter takes about 30 seconds — just show your phone and you're done. After check-in, a digital room key appears in the app, letting you open your door by holding your phone up to the lock. If you're the kind of traveler who'd rather not keep track of a key card while running around a theme park, this is genuinely useful.

Drinks Menu — What's Available and When
Everything at the lounge is complimentary — it's all built into your room rate. The menu shifts across the day, with soft drinks available from opening and alcohol kicking in at 5:00 PM during cocktail hour.
Soft Drinks (from 7:00 AM)

▲ Apple juice — crisp and refreshing

▲ Coffee with a small snack — the perfect morning ritual
- Orange juice / Apple juice
- Coffee (hot & iced) / Café latte
- Tea (hot & iced)
- Light snacks (small bags)

▲ Tea comes hot or iced — the cups are elegant too
The pasta-shaped snacks that came out with my coffee were genuinely addictive — I ended up buying a bag at the Michelangelo Gifts shop on the way out (around ¥550 with Disney packaging). I later tracked down the commercial version online and ordered more. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Cocktail Hour (5:00 PM – 10:00 PM, last order 9:30 PM)
At 5 PM, the lounge transitions into cocktail mode. Alcohol is complimentary during this window, and soft drinks remain available throughout. Watching the DisneySea harbor turn golden at dusk with a glass of wine in hand — that's the kind of moment that makes the Speciale Room upgrade feel completely worth it.

▲ "Il Magnifico" — the lounge's signature cocktail

▲ Gin & tonic — clean and crisp
| Category | Options |
|---|---|
| Signature Cocktail | Il Magnifico (passion fruit, rum, pineapple and more) |
| Cocktails | Cassis & orange / Moscow mule / Gin & tonic |
| Beer | Kirin Lager / Moretti (Italian) |
| Wine by the glass | Sparkling (dry & sweet) / White wine / Red wine |
| Whisky | Chivas Regal 12 / Jack Daniel's Black |
| Non-alcoholic | Germoglio (yogurt & green apple) / Juices / Soft drinks |

▲ Red wine — rich color, great for photos too

▲ Chivas Regal 12 and Jack Daniel's — a solid lineup

▲ Beer choices: Kirin Lager (Japan) and Moretti (Italy) — fitting for an Italian-themed hotel

The Atmosphere Inside
Think quiet European elegance — warm lighting, plush sofas, and oil paintings on the walls. It's a sharp contrast to the energy of the theme park just outside the window. The Disney touches are subtle rather than in-your-face: Mickey motifs on the coaster, character artwork woven into the décor. It feels refined without losing that sense of magic.

The View: DisneySea From Your Lounge Seat
This might be the lounge's single greatest selling point. The large windows look directly out over Mediterranean Harbor, giving you a front-row view of DisneySea without setting foot in the park. During show times, you can often catch performances from your seat — I watched part of a harbor show from a sofa while finishing my second glass of wine. Not bad.

Visitor Reviews
We spent cocktail hour here on both evenings of our stay, and it was genuinely the highlight of the trip. Watching the sunset over the harbor with a glass of sparkling wine — completely free — while the park buzzed below us felt unreal. Worth every yen of the room upgrade.
The private check-in experience alone sold me. No line, no waiting at a front desk — just walked in, sat down with a coffee, and a staff member came over to handle everything at my table. The staff were incredibly warm and told me about in-park tips I wouldn't have thought to ask about.
The "Il Magnifico" signature cocktail is a must. It's beautiful to look at and tastes like a tropical holiday. I've stayed here twice now and always make a point of being in the lounge right when cocktail hour starts — the harbor view at dusk is stunning every single time.
My kids were glued to Disney Channel on the lounge TV while my partner and I actually got to sit down and have a proper coffee before heading into the park. The snacks kept the little ones happy too. It made the whole morning feel relaxed instead of rushed — a rare thing at a theme park.
We visited during Golden Week and the lounge was fully occupied when we arrived for cocktail hour. Staff redirected us to the Bellavista Lounge counter — the drinks and service were exactly the same, but the harbor view wasn't quite as dramatic. If you're visiting during peak season, try to get there right at 5 PM to secure a window seat.
Couldn't find the entrance at first — there's no "Lounge" sign on the door, which is a bit confusing when you don't know what you're looking for. Once I asked at check-in, a staff member walked me right to it. Tip: ask for directions to Salone dell'Amico specifically and you'll find it no problem.
