On my check-in evening, while I was waiting at the bus stop in front of the hotel, shuttle buses to Tokyo Disney Resort kept pulling up one after another. "With this many buses, getting to the park early for Happy Entry tomorrow will be easy." That was my first impression of Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel.
Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel is the most affordable of the resort's six Disney Hotels. It's officially a Value type Disney Hotel, with simpler services and facilities. It's a little far from the parks, but you still get a free shuttle bus and Happy Entry, the early park entry that only Disney Hotel guests can use. That makes it a great fit if you want to spend every minute from opening to closing in the parks without paying Disney Hotel prices. In this guide I'll walk you through the whole hotel with photos from my own stay.
| Hotel type | Disney Hotel (Value type) |
|---|---|
| Buildings | Wish and Discover |
| To the parks | Free shuttle bus, about 20 minutes |
| Happy Entry | Tokyo Disneyland only, 15 minutes early (not on check-in day) |
| Check-in | 3:00 p.m. (pre-check-in from 6:00 a.m. to noon on arrival day) |
What Is Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel?

The hotel has two buildings, Wish and Discover, each with its own theme. Wish is about dreams and fantasy, and Discover is about adventure and discovery. I stayed in the Discover Quintet Room in the Discover building.
The walls of the room are covered with artwork of Disney characters enjoying park attractions, so it does feel like a Disney stay. The building itself, though, is closer to a standard Japanese city hotel. That's by design: by keeping the lobby and facilities simple, the hotel keeps its room rates down. If you're expecting the luxury of Hotel MiraCosta, you may be disappointed. But if your goal is to use Happy Entry the next morning, or simply to enjoy Disney on a budget, it does the job well.
Disney Hotel vs. Official Hotel vs. Partner Hotel
Tokyo Disney Resort sorts its hotels into four categories. Only guests of the six Disney Hotels, including this one, get Happy Entry. Official, Partner and Good Neighbor Hotels don't, even though some of them are closer to the parks.
Exterior and Parking
The hotel is a calm pastel-colored building arranged in a square around a central courtyard.

The pastel buildings are arranged in a square around a courtyard.

The buildings are long, so depending on where your room is, it can be a bit of a walk to the front desk on the first floor. At night the buildings are lit up, which gives them a different feel from the daytime.
If you're driving, there's a parking lot, but note that parking is not free, even for hotel guests.

You get a parking ticket from a machine, and paying is simple if you follow the instructions you're given at check-in.

Lobby and Front Desk
Front Desk

The front desk area is simple, but that also means short waits. Check-in and check-out were smooth for me. Two things worth knowing:
- Pre-check-in: official check-in is 3:00 p.m., but you can pre-check-in between 6:00 a.m. and noon on your arrival day, leave your bags, and head straight to the parks.
- Park tickets: as a Disney Hotel guest, you can buy park tickets for the days of your stay at the front desk, even for dates that are sold out on the official website.
Attraction-Themed Displays
The lobby is compact, but there are displays and objects inspired by park attractions all around, so just walking through the hotel puts you in a Disney mood.

A display inspired by Journey to the Center of the Earth at Tokyo DisneySea.
Each spot has a different theme, and I found myself looking at them while waiting in line to check in.

Currency Exchange Machine
There's a currency exchange machine near the lobby. The screen works in several languages, so it's easy to use if you've just arrived in Japan with dollars, ringgit or pesos. Many smaller shops and food stands in Japan still prefer cash, so it's handy to have some yen on hand.

My Room: Discover Quintet Room
I stayed in the Discover Quintet Room in the Discover building. One wall is covered in Disney artwork, which makes it fun for families.

The washbasin is the practical kind you'd find in a business hotel. Nothing fancy, but very clean.

Note: the room artwork in the Discover building is being replaced with new designs in stages starting September 1, 2026, the first change since the hotel opened. My photos are from my stay, and the artwork varies by room.
For the room size, bunk bed measurements and full amenity list, see my room guide.

The hotel and the parks are connected by the free Wish & Discover Shuttle, and the ride takes about 20 minutes. Buses run often, so even though the hotel is some distance from the parks, getting there never felt stressful. If you're going for Happy Entry, the morning buses can get crowded, so line up early if you want a seat.
- Where to catch it back: Bus Stop 4 at the Tokyo Disneyland Bus Terminal, and Bus Stop 6 at the Tokyo DisneySea Bus Terminal.
- Have your reservation ready: staff may ask you to confirm that you're a hotel guest before you board.
Happy Entry at this hotel
Celebration Hotel guests can enter Tokyo Disneyland only, 15 minutes before regular guests. It can't be used on your check-in day, but it can be used on the following days of your stay, including check-out day. A few dates are excluded, so check the official website before you book.
Breakfast
According to the official website, the hotel has two cafés, Wish Cafe and Discover Cafe, which serve a breakfast buffet only (no lunch or dinner). The menu includes Mickey-shaped pancakes and freshly baked bread. You buy a breakfast voucher from a vending machine in the hotel, and the cafés don't take advance reservations (Priority Seating).
Souvenir Shop: Disney Fantasy
Along the corridor from the lobby is a Disney shop called Disney Fantasy (1st floor, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.), selling park merchandise.

This shop works a little differently from a normal store. Monitors show how each item looks in use, but you can't touch the items themselves. To buy something, you scan its barcode with the online shopping feature in the Tokyo Disney Resort App and order from your phone. If you're visiting from overseas, install the app and set up your account before your trip.

The shelves are full of plush toys, sweets and everyday goods.

Near the shop there are also Disney capsule toy machines ("gacha"). Put in coins, turn the handle, and you get a random small toy. It's a fun stop with kids.

Convenience Stores
Each building has its own convenience store with a different name: Wish Snacks & Sundries in Wish and Discover Snacks & Sundries in Discover. Both are run by Lawson, one of Japan's big convenience store chains, and both are open 6:00 a.m. to midnight.

For hours and what's on the shelves, see my convenience store guide.

Summary
Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel doesn't try to be luxurious. Instead, it does one thing very well: it lets you stay at a Disney Hotel and use Happy Entry at a lower price. Once you see the simple lobby and facilities as the reason the rate is lower, it makes a lot of sense.
- Frequent free shuttle buses, about 20 minutes to the parks
- Happy Entry lets you into Tokyo Disneyland 15 minutes early
- Convenience stores open 6:00 a.m. to midnight, plus a Disney shop
